Process of Theological Reflection in Parish Nursing and Wholistic Health of Adolescents and Young Adults

An Advanced Faith Community/Parish Nurses Education Program

This workshop is an advanced learning opportunity for faith community nurses who have completed the Basic Parish/Faith Community Nurse Preparation Curriculum. The content is designed to provide on-going educational support for practicing faith community nurses. The morning will introduce the participant to a process of discovery of, and thinking about, God’s presence and activity in the events of daily life and the connection that has with one’s faith. The participant is introduced to a method of theological reflection that can be used for both personal and pastoral decision-making. The afternoon will focus on the common issues of health, growth and development, and spiritual development as it relates to adolescents and young adults. Spiritual assessment and spiritual caregiving interventions are discussed.

Attending quarterly meetings will provide insightful information helpful to each individual ministry. This is an opportunity to network with other health ministry program members and faith community nurses. Please consider attending or hosting a meeting for our organization.

There is no charge for our meetings except for the Advanced Modules education events which provide contact hours. All participants in parish/faith community nursing and health ministry and their guests are WELCOME.
